THAILANDE CHIANG MAI 7 TO 13 FEB

After a night in MAESOT : on the border of Myanmar and Thaïlande we arrived in Chiangmai for the weekend of their annual flower festival

Great local dancers http://youtu.be/9QqCqJJq3lI  but the singers are quiet "light" (no voice, choreography reminded us of and end of year school show...
The fish  really eat your skin it's strange !

After  a quick repair we go all around the city on the  bikes

Forbidden for women !
Even for Buddah, women are discriminated against
and can not go into certain areas.

Everyday life images in the temple grounds.

Lunch time

Can you spot Donald in the center of the picture, this is the garden just in front of a temple. ( look closer you can see a giraffe and other animals, a bit like Noah's ark...)

Once again super Buddha statues in one of the many Chiang Rai Temples.

After 2 days of biking, it's time to begin our detox program,  no solid food ,  just wheat grass drinks, spinach and fruit smoothies and a coconut drink in a bambou eco village near a beautiful temple with Bo the owner and Remco our yoga teacher who is her husband
Ju and Bo

Polo relax ...

Remco our Yoga teacher

Blue bird eco village.

Ju having a stomach massage from Gazelle : "chi nei tsang", it's better not to have had any food for two days beforehand.

Our temple next door with quiet relaxing music opposite  the yoga studio, a good place  to meditate before and after yoga, really quiet and full of energy.
Our first soup after 4 days of fruit and vegetable smoothies , really tasty ; a real wonder
Bo and Remco

It's time to go, we offer an antique bambou cow's bell to Bo.
The four of us just for the record
